24 Davidsons Homes team members take on fearsome Wolf Run for charity
Twenty-four members of the Davidsons Homes East Midlands team – based in Ibstock, Leicestershire – have taken on an intense feat of determination and physicality to raise money for charity.
The team all took part in the Wolf Run, held last weekend in Warwickshire, which is an obstacle-based challenge across open ground and through woodland.
From lake swims to mud pits, climbing over fallen trees and clambering through boggy ground, traversing ditches, hills and dense foliage, the challenge is designed to test each member physically and mentally.
The team raised £200 for Sported UK, which promotes fairness and equality for young people through grassroots sports and physical activity.
Charlie Stringer, Group Urban Designer for Davidsons Homes and one of the team’s organisers, said: “When we first spoke about taking part in the Wolf Run, I was only expecting a handful of people in the office to sign up. We’re so proud that eventually 24 of us took part in the challenge – it was a real test for many of us, but we got through it together.
“Although by the end we were muddy, tired and exhausted, we all felt much stronger as a team, and are looking forward to – maybe! – doing something similar together again.
“Thank you to everyone who has donated and well done to all of the team who took part.”
