Lucinda celebrates two years in her three-bedroom Carnel home

I really felt like the experience was completely tailored to me. It wasn’t just about selling a house, it was about them knowing me as a person and then finding a home that was perfectly suited to my needs.

It’s been two whole years since Lucinda Reynolds first moved into her home at Davidsons’ Ashby Gardens development in Ashby-de-la-Zouch… and she has said that she loves it more now than ever.

The 28-year-old Supply Chain Lead for a pharmaceutical company was looking to move closer to family and away from Ibstock where she previously owned a property. Lucinda was always drawn to Ashby Gardens but assumed a home there would be out of her price range.

But Davidsons Homes Sales Managers Lydia and Emily found her the ideal house for her budget – a three-bedroom terrace Carnel – which Lucinda and her black Labrador Poppy have now happily lived in for two years.

Lucinda said: “I’d seen the Davidsons Homes development being built in Ashby for the last few years, and it was always in the back of my mind that I’d love to own a house there. To be honest though, I didn’t think that was a serious possibility until Lydia the Sales Manager told me that they had a house come up there which was the size I wanted and within my budget.

“Everyone talks about how stressful moving is, but my experience was so smooth that I genuinely didn’t feel that way. I really felt like the experience was completely tailored to me. It wasn’t just about selling a house, it was about them knowing me as a person and then finding a home that was perfectly suited to my needs.

“About two weeks after I moved in they went back over the property with a fine-tooth comb to make sure there were absolutely no issues. Even little knocks that we’d caused ourselves from moving in, they just sorted out.

“The lovely thing about living here for two years is that I’ve seen a real community grow here in the development. There is a WhatsApp group for people who live here, and there are always gatherings or celebrations happening.”

Ashby-de-la-Zouch was Lucinda’s preferred location for a new home due to her family living there, but it also has a wide selection of independent shops, cute cafes and vibrant restaurants.

Lucinda said: “It’s a fantastic location for me and Poppy because we can go on lovely walks either through the market town which is nearby, or even just around the development itself which has some really pretty sections to walk through.

“As for the house itself, the Carnel has been the perfect base for me over the last two years. I’ve converted my third bedroom into a study, which has been very handy as I work from home.

“The kitchen/diner is big enough for a six-seater table, which has been ideal for having friends over and hosting the odd party. I also have huge patio doors which open onto the garden, which is great for Poppy.

“Overall, I’ve been so happy here and, as and when I’m looking for my next home I’d love to move to another Davidsons property.”
