Davidsons helps budding builders learn through play
Schoolchildren in Hanslope will be able to enjoy a new learning area thanks to a donation from Davidsons Homes.
The developer, which is building new homes at The Wheatfields, off Long Street Road in the village – has donated a tonne of decorative gravel for Maple class’ new gravel pit at Hanslope Primary School.
Lisa Lawrence, Key Stage 1 Manager, said: “The gravel pit is something we have wanted at the school for some time. It’s a great way for the children to develop their motor skills and imaginations, through playing, digging and working as a team.
“We would like to send a huge thank you to Davidsons Homes for the donation. This is something that the children will continue to enjoy for years to come and will help pupils grow and learn.”
Simon Tyler, Sales Director for Davidsons Homes South Midlands, said: “It is great to hear that pupils at Hanslope Primary School get to enjoy out-of-the-box, exciting activities to support their education.
“We are so pleased to have been able to provide the gravel for this new learning area which is a unique way for the children to discover new skills practically and safely.”
