The Consumer Code is a document that sets out the mandatory requirements that all new home builders must meet in their marketing and selling of their new homes and their after sales customer service.
The purpose of the code is to ensure that Home Buyers:
Keep this document in a handy place in case of emergencies and use the numbers below if required.
So that a full and complete record can be maintained, any defect covered by the NHBC Buildmark warranty should be reported as follows:
WITHIN 7 DAYS
A representative from our Site Team will visit you 7 days after your legal completion and will agree any defects requiring rectification with you.
Any visual damage, such as chips or scratches MUST be reported within 7 days of Legal Completion.
REMAINDER OF 2 YEAR BUILDMARK COVER
Please report any further defects identified by e-mail to [email protected] including your daytime contact number. Alternatively, you can ring on 01530 261444 to discuss any concerns you may have.
We aim to complete any remedial work within 28 days, but this may take longer if replacement parts are required.
Suitable weekday access will be agreed with you.
Should a defect require the removal of floor covering that has not been fitted by Davidsons, this would need to be removed prior to investigation/remedial work.
