Davidsons helps Market Harborough in Bloom flower in landmark year
Market Harborough’s award-winning floral volunteers are celebrating a boost from Davidsons Homes as they mark a major milestone year.
The housebuilder has once again stepped forward to support Market Harborough in Bloom by funding a new set of branded polo shirts for the volunteer team as the organisation celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The sponsorship has provided 30 new shirts for volunteers, helping the group maintain a smart and recognisable presence as they continue their work brightening the town’s streets, green spaces and community areas.
Market Harborough in Bloom has enjoyed remarkable success in recent years, winning the East Midlands in Bloom Best Large Town category for four consecutive years and securing a prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Gold Award in 2025.
The latest support continues a long-standing relationship between Davidsons Homes and the volunteer group, with the housebuilder having previously funded volunteer shirts and provided sponsorship towards the group’s running costs.
The new shirts will proudly feature both the Market Harborough in Bloom and Davidsons Homes logos, ensuring the partnership is visible throughout the town and at community events across the year.
Angela Randle, Chair of Market Harborough in Bloom, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Davidsons Homes for their continued support. This is a very special year for us as we celebrate our 30th anniversary, and the new polo shirts will help our volunteers feel part of the team while representing the organisation out in the community.
“Our volunteers work tirelessly throughout the year to make Market Harborough a place people can be proud of, and support from local businesses such as Davidsons makes a real difference.
“We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with Davidsons and would like to thank the team for helping us mark this milestone year.”
Simon Tyler, Sales Director at Davidsons Homes South, said: “Market Harborough in Bloom does an incredible job bringing colour, pride and a real sense of community spirit to the town.
“Market Harborough has been home to Davidsons developments for many years, and we’re proud to have played a part in helping shape communities across the town through our landmark developments. We know first-hand how much people care about where they live, which is why we’re delighted to support the volunteers who work so hard to keep Market Harborough looking its very best.
“The dedication of the volunteers is inspiring and the results speak for themselves, with their continued success in regional and national competitions. We are delighted to be able to support the team once again and help them celebrate their 30th anniversary year.”
Market Harborough in Bloom was established in 1996 and works throughout the year to enhance the town through planting schemes, environmental projects and community initiatives, all led by a dedicated team of volunteers.
