Davidsons Homes gives Scouts the canvas for more adventures
Bedford’s young Scouts are set for more adventures under canvas after Davidsons Homes stepped in with a £500 donation to fund brand new tents.
The contribution was made following a request from a resident at Davidsons’ Biddenham Park development, who is actively involved with the club.
The funds will go towards providing essential equipment for the Scouts, enabling more young people to take part in outdoor activities, camping trips and community events.
Victoria Barnaby, Area Sales Manager at Davidsons Homes South Midlands, said: “Supporting local groups like Bedford Scouts is really important to us, as they play such a big part in bringing the community together. It’s lovely to be able to help provide the equipment they need so that more children can get outdoors, learn new skills and make lasting memories. We’re proud to be part of the Bedford community and to give something back.”
Toqeer Masud, a resident at Biddenham Park and member of Bedford Scouts, helped to connect the club with Davidsons.
He said: “We’re really grateful to Davidsons Homes for this generous donation. Having new tents will make a huge difference to our camps and activities, giving more young people the chance to experience the fun and adventure of Scouting.”
Davidsons Homes is building a collection of family homes at its Biddenham Park development in Bedford, where a thriving new community has formed.
