Housebuilder tops up village beer festival funds

Davidsons Homes donated the cash to support Gilmorton Beer Festival, which was held just down the road from its Golden Grange development.

The fun-filled bank holiday event included live music, children’s games and activities, a fun dog show, vintage vehicles, a cricket match, and of course a wide variety of real ales, ciders and draught lagers.

Phil Silvester, one of the organisers of Gilmorton Beer Festival, said: “Myself and the rest of the organisers want to say a big thank you to Davidsons – every donation goes a long way at a village festival like this.

“We were so pleased that families and friends could come together this weekend and have fun. The wide range of activities meant that there was something for everyone, no matter how young or old.”

Suzanne Shearer, Sales Manager for Davidsons Homes, said: “It was fantastic to see local people and visitors coming together to enjoy themselves at Gilmorton Beer Festival.

“Anyone visiting the festival could see for themselves – this is such a great village with a lovely community feel. We’re really proud to be building here.
