The Warners find their dream home in Hugglescote

We love what the Davidsons homes look like and the way the developments are set out – it’s almost like a little village

A local couple benefited from a housebuilder’s Assisted Move scheme to move into their brand-new home in Hugglescote.

Curtis and Michaela Warner bought their new three-bedroom detached home at Davidsons’ Hastings Park development in Hugglescote and moved in at the end of July, along with their two Jack Russells Bob and Bert.

The couple used the developer’s Assisted Move scheme to sell their old property in Sileby and ensure the buying process was as stress-free as possible.

Curtis (49) said: “By using Assisted Move, we took a lot of the hassle and stress away from buying our new home. Davidsons put our old house on the market for us, which meant that we didn’t have to pay estate agent fees or instruct valuers.

“Of course, there is always some stress which comes with moving house, but using the scheme meant that a lot of that was taken off our shoulders. Our house sold within two weeks, which meant we could focus on moving into our new house at Hastings Park.”

The move meant that Curtis’ commute to his role as an HGV driver for Tesco was much shorter, while Michaela also has an easy journey to her job as a care assistant at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in Loughborough.

After living in their last property for 22 years, the couple chose a Ford housetype – a three-bedroom detached property.

Michaela (52) said: “The rooms in our new house feel huge after our last home – we keep wandering around in disbelief! Being in a new home was very strange at first, we felt like we were on holiday. But now we’re unpacked we absolutely love it. All we need is some artwork to brighten the walls up a little.”

Curtis and Michaela visited lots of newbuild developers while trying to pick a new home but said that Davidsons’ designs stood out.

Michaela said: “We love what the Davidsons homes look like and the way the developments are set out – it’s almost like a little village.

“The land we have with our house is not what you’d expect for a newbuild, our garden is really large. We’re not gardeners at all, but we’re excited to get stuck in and learn how to do it.”

Curtis added: “We honestly can’t thank Davidsons enough. Every single person we’ve met, from Becky our Sales Manager through to the Site Manager and Head Office staff, everyone has gone out of their way to help us.”
