Chef gets all his needs catered for in his new home

A chef has bought a new house in Ashby-de-la-Zouch that allows him to cook up a storm whilst living in comfort.

Neil Hemmings, 52, and his wife, Esther, 47, moved into their new four-bedroom detached home at Davidsons Homes’ Tudor Rise development, off Burton Road, in early July this year.

After living in Tamworth for years, the couple decided they wanted a fresh start and to live closer to their friends who also live around Ashby. However, it was their first impression of the development that really got the couple interested.

Neil said: “I have had a lot of experience looking at homes and housing developments, and Davidsons Homes really stood out.

“We noticed that, even though the development was not finished, it looked like a place where you could move in straight away.

“Tudor Rise looked great as soon as we turned up, with wide, clear roads and with a clean look even though the development was still under construction.”

Of course, the most important room in any house for a chef is the one where the cooking happens, so it comes as no surprise that Neil’s favourite room is the kitchen.

“As a chef, the kitchen fulfils everything I need, and because it is open plan, we have lots of room for when we have our friends over, which suits me perfectly as I can be in the kitchen while entertaining the guests.”

Neil continued: “When we decided to move, we knew we wanted more living space, and now we have about three times as much as we did in our old place in Tamworth.”

However, it was not just the house itself that convinced Neil and Esther that Tudor Rise was the place for them, but also the development’s attractive surroundings.

Neil said: “The surrounding area is fantastic. We’re only a ten-minute walk from Ashby town centre, there is a doctor’s surgery nearby, as well as a co-op, a couple of pubs, and plenty of greenery and countryside.

“We get the best of both worlds living here; we feel like we are right in the heart of Leicestershire.”

Neil and Esther were also impressed by the customer service they received from all the Davidsons Homes staff they met.

Neil said: “I would absolutely recommend Davidsons to anyone. The build quality is a lot better than most other housebuilders, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure any problems we had were dealt with as soon as possible.”

There’s a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes currently available to reserve at Davidsons Homes’ Ashby Gardens development, which neighbours Tudor Rise.
