Town crier rings in New Lubbesthorpe showhome
The doors of a brand new showhome have been officially opened to the public in the pioneering new community of New Lubbesthorpe near Leicester Forest East in Leicester.
A town crier was among the guests at the launch event at Davidsons Homes’ The Market Village development, which was well-attended by people from across Leicestershire. Visitors to the event enjoyed a sweet cart, ice creams and a face painter.
Visitors are now welcome to come along and explore the three-bedroom Ratby showhome, which is the latest to be unveiled at New Lubbesthorpe – and is a brand new housetype for Davidsons Homes.
The new community will eventually consist of 4,250 homes, as well as over 320 acres of new parks, two new primary schools and a secondary school.
Sarahjane Giles, area sales manager for Davidsons Homes, said: “It was a real joy to open the doors to our brand new three-bedroom showhome, and to watch visitors’ enthusiasm and excitement as they looked around.
“New Lubbesthorpe is an area which is very popular with young and growing families, so we wanted our latest showhome to reflect the type of family home we are renowned for building.
“We thought that the Ratby showhome would prove popular with visitors but the feedback we received from the launch event exceeded our expectations, with the space and light in the house being particularly commented on.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming more visitors to The Market Village over the coming months and to watching the community here grow even further.”
The showhome at Davidsons Homes’ The Market Village development is open from Thursday to Monday between 10.30am and 5.30pm.
