Father and son team lay last bricks at Davidsons last home at East Leake

A father and son team working for Davidsons Homes have been involved in the start and finish of the ‘Woodgate View’ development in East Leake.

John Cresham, and son Declan, now both work for Davidsons. John has been with Davidsons since they started building homes eight years ago, and at the East Leake development since it began – and he laid the first bricks there. His son Declan joined the company as an apprentice bricklayer just a few weeks ago and has laid the last bricks there. East Leake is the first development Declan has worked on – and it seemed particularly fitting that he should lay the last brick on the last home there.

John said, “This was a great way to finish off at East Leake and I’m so pleased that Declan had joined Davidsons in time for this to happen. I’ve been in the housebuilding industry for over 30 years and I’m hoping Declan will enjoy his new career and follow in my footsteps”.

Dave Knott, site manager at ‘Woodgate View’, said “Davidsons is a family run company, so this is a lovely reflection of that tradition. John and Declan are both moving to our new Ashby development and are looking forward to building the homes there”.

There are just eight homes left for sale at Davidsons ‘Woodgate View’ development on the Woodgate Road in East Leake LE12 6PX. It’s open 7 days a week – for more information call 01509 854 333, or, for details of Davidsons Homes around the Midlands, visit: www.davidsonsgroup.co.uk
