Davidsons Homes secures 5* rating from HBF

Davidsons Homes has cemented its place among the country’s top house-builders by securing the industry’s highest rating for customer satisfaction.

The Ibstock-based firm has been rated as a five-star builder by the Home Builders’ Federation for the third consecutive year.

The HBF ratings are the benchmark for house-builders as they are based solely on an independent survey of purchasers. The 2015 results were published this morning (Thursday 12th March).

Operations Director for Davidsons Homes, Jason Glover, said: “To secure a five-star rating is totally dependent on whether our customers would recommend us and therefore we are delighted to have been recognised once again.

“There is a sense of nervous excitement throughout the industry as the annual announcement looms. While we were confident that our customers had been more content than ever, until we saw the news in black and white we could not take anything for granted.”

HBF members can opt to take part in the National New Homes Survey operated by industry watchdog NHBC, which determines their star rating. A five-star rating can only be achieved if 90 per cent of customers say they would recommend the developer to a friend.

Jason Glover said: “This is the third time we have taken part in the survey and each time we have achieved a five-star rating.

“There are so many aspects to the customer experience that new challenges arise all the time. To manage this, every department needs to perform at the highest level.

“Since the economic recovery began to gather pace, buoyed by the launch of Help to Buy, builders have been delivering higher volumes. Shortages of materials and skilled workers followed and with that came the risk of build delays.

“Against this backdrop, we are proud to have maintained such a high level of customer satisfaction. We treat our suppliers and contractors as part of the team and our own staff have shown exemplary commitment.

“The customer is at the centre of everything we do. Buying a house requires a huge emotional and financial investment so we make every effort to make the experience exciting and stress-free.”

Davidsons Homes is currently building at South Lawns, Scraptoft Hall, Leicester; Heritage View in The Long Shoot, Nuneaton ;  Heron’s Place, Arnold, Nottingham; St James Gate, Anstey; Wilson Gardens, Peterborough; Bakers Croft, Ibstock; The Grange, Whetstone; and Church Fields, Weddington. Woodgate View in East Leake and Foxglove Field in Byfield are due to launch in the spring.
