New homes with real character from Davidsons

Joanne and Darren Hulme were looking to move but were firmly against new homes – until they discovered Davidsons. They had outgrown their existing home, which they had lived in for 10 years, and with two growing children were looking for somewhere bigger.

Darren said “We came across Davidsons when we were searching online for suitable homes in the Whetstone area. Although brand new was not what we were looking for, they were in the right location so we thought we would find out more. We e-mailed the development and received a call from Tracy, the sales manager at Whetstone. We went over to meet her to have an initial discussion and as the development was still very new she suggested we visited Davidsons showhome at Ibstock to take a look round.”

Joanne said “We were very impressed by the homes. They had real character and were well thought out – not at all what we were expecting. They had great layouts, and excellent kitchens and bathrooms. We chose the home we liked from plans but were confident from everything we saw that it would be a great home. We bought using Davidsons part exchange scheme, which made things simple. We moved in on the planned day and the site manager and sales manager were on hand to make sure it all went smoothly. They couldn’t have been more helpful, all through the process.”

Joanne continued “Visitors to our new home say it has such a lovely feeling to it and they can’t believe how well it’s laid out – they are also impressed that it has 4 double bedrooms giving us lots of space. Davidsons seem keen to build a community here. Karen, who’s now the sales manager here, pops in to say hello. It’s great, absolutely wonderful – we love living here”.

Stephanie King, Sales Director at Davidsons Homes, said “It’s really pleasing to hear that someone who was looking for an older property with character has decided that we are building brand new homes that have that traditional appeal to them. Additionally, new homes are built to a much higher specification than the majority of older properties and meet the latest environmental standards. They are much more energy efficient and cost less to run – utility bills can be reduced significantly. At Davidsons our aim is also to be placemakers, not just homebuilders, and to help create communities wherever we build.”

Davidsons Whetstone development is on Dog and Gun Lane and is called ‘The Grange’ – currently it has a range of four and five bedroom homes available from £414,100. Part Exchange and ‘Help to Buy’ schemes are available on many of the homes – full details are available at the development.
