New construction director for Davidsons as they grow across the Midlands

Ibstock based Davidsons Homes have appointed a new construction director and strengthened their  contract management team as they expand with new developments in Leicestershire and across the Midlands.

Chay Walker has recently joined the company as construction director, having carried out a similar role for other leading homebuilders. He has overall responsibility for the construction and development process, from initial site set up all the way through to after sales customer care.

Reporting in to Chay will be Philip Clark, who was promoted to contract manager last year, and Simon Bannister, who has just joined the company as a contract manager. They will split responsibility for the company’s developments between them, with the aim of maintaining build quality and progress. Davidsons say the roles will enable them to continue to deliver the same level of attention to detail in the build process.

Chay Walker said “I want to build great homes and developments that people will enjoy living in – to create strong local communities. I’ve been a site manager and a contracts manager so I understand the roles that make up the team and am keen to work with everyone to get things right. We want to continue to build individual homes with real character, to do it differently to everyone else through our attention to detail”.

Davidsons have just completed their 1000th home since starting building homes in 2008. For the third year in a row Davidsons have received five stars in the National Home Builders Federation/NHBC customer satisfaction survey – this is the highest rating.

Currently Davidsons have developments in Leicestershire at Ibstock, Anstey, Scraptoft Hall, Whetstone, Countesthorpe and Ravenstone, with new developments coming soon to Lutterworth and Ashby.
