Get more house for your money in Banbury

Homehunters finding themselves priced out of the market in Oxford are being invited to cast their net a little further to the charming market town of Banbury.

Over the last year the average selling price for a home in Oxford was £473,854, while in Banbury the average price was less than half at just £213,473.

Davidsons Homes has just launched a collection of new homes in the town at their The Mill development off Duke’s Meadow Drive, designed as the perfect home for an Oxford commuter looking to get more house for their money.

Stephanie King, Sales Director for Davidsons Homes, said: “Oxford is a commercial hub offering employment to many thousands of people, but as a result house prices have gone through the roof in the city over the last few years.

“Our The Mill development offers the perfect alternative. Buyers are finding they can buy a much larger, better quality home by looking in Banbury, and the links to Oxford make it absolutely ideal for commuters. For example, trains to Oxford take as little as eighteen minutes.

“The Mill also offers the best of both worlds in terms of desirability, as the Hanwell Fields area where we’re building is one of the most sought-after areas of Banbury.

“We’re urging potential buyers to visit the development today so they can talk to one of our sales advisors and find out how much more they could get for their money by buying in Banbury.”

The Mill will be a development of two to five-bedroom homes built to Davidsons Homes’ usual high specification and with their customary eye for detail.

Properties at The Mill currently start from £340,000 for a three-bedroom detached home and from £375,000 for a four-bedroom detached home.

In comparison, the average price of the four-bedroom detached homes currently for sale in Oxford is £846,177.
