The Consumer Code is a document that sets out the mandatory requirements that all new home builders must meet in their marketing and selling of their new homes and their after sales customer service.
The purpose of the code is to ensure that Home Buyers:
A trainee sales advisor has wasted no time climbing the ranks at a Leicestershire-based housebuilder, becoming a Sales Manager within her first year.
Clare Hughes, 22, who lives in Nuneaton, swapped her administrative role at a company called Health Management for a trainee sales advisor position at Davidsons Homes’ Church Fields site in Weddington, Nuneaton.
But just 10 months after joining the company she has been promoted to Sales Manager at the St Michael’s Gate development in Ravenstone.
Clare said: “I’m absolutely thrilled, I never thought that I’d have the chance to be a Sales Manager so early on in my career with Davidsons Homes.
“I love my job, it’s so rewarding for me to watch people move in to their new homes and it makes me feel good knowing that I helped someone find their dream property.
“It can be a busy job at times but I’ve never looked back. I love being busy.”
Clare, a self-confessed shopaholic, studied interior design at City College in Coventry, but left at 17 in search of work. She got her first taste of the construction industry when she joined Coventry-based Class Construction.
Considering herself a people’s person, and having worked in the construction industry, a job selling homes seemed like the natural step for Clare.
She said: “I was anxious to move in to something more exciting and I knew someone working at the site in Weddington. I just kept asking her for a job until eventually Davidsons took me on as a trainee.
“I joined at a good time as the Weddington site had become very popular and they needed the extra staff. Once I got my foot in the door, I worked hard with my training and when the opportunity to become a sales manager at Ravenstone came about I jumped at the chance.
“The St Michael’s Gate site is selling very well. We’ve been very busy recently and over the weekend [February 5th-6th] I’ve made five sales alone.
“I’m really enjoying my time with Davidsons and I’m looking forward to see what the future holds for me here.”
Davidsons Homes has just released the final phase of homes at St Michael’s Gate, a development of 95 new homes off Melbourne Road ranging from three to five-bedrooms.
