Davidsons Homes starts building in Lutterworth at Royal Park

Work is well underway at a new development bringing an investment of nearly £300,000 to the local community in Lutterworth.

Davidsons Homes received planning permission for the site on land east of Leicester Road last July, and has now started selling the first new homes from its Orchards development on Willoughby Road, Countesthorpe.

Named Royal Park, the development will comprise 84 three to five-bedroom homes, including 25 much-needed affordable properties. It is due to open its doors to the marketing suite in May.

Stephanie King, Sales Director for Davidsons Homes, said: “Royal Park will continue our tradition of building quality homes in desirable locations. It will incorporate the Georgian and Victorian influences seen in Lutterworth’s existing architecture, meaning the homes will blend in beautifully with their surroundings.

“The site falls within the catchment area for many fantastic schools rated ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, so we’re expecting particular interest from those looking for a larger home for their families.

“In fact, we’ve already started fielding enquiries and taking reservations from our Countesthorpe development just up the A426.

“We’d urge buyers to register their interest with us soon, so we can keep them up to date with all the latest news at Royal Park.”

Royal Park is also set to provide a huge boost to Lutterworth, as Davidsons Homes will be providing the money to improve various local facilities as agreed in the planning process.

As part of their contribution to the local community, Davidsons Homes is providing £72,744 towards the improvement of indoor sports provisions as well as £17,094 to improve public parks and gardens in Lutterworth and £16,880 to boost local cemeteries and burial grounds.

There will also be a £24,078 donation towards local policing and a £4,800 boost for the library service.

On top of that Davidsons Homes will be providing a new bus shelter costing £5,150 and £6,000 worth of travel packs to encourage the use of public transport.
