Davidsons Homes launches new development at New Lubbesthorpe

Davidsons Homes has launched its latest collection of homes which will become part of a landmark new community to the west of Leicester.

Visitors were given their first glimpse of the new homes being built, as artists’ impressions of the houses and street scenes were unveiled.

The Leicestershire-based housebuilder will build 248 homes at Hereswode, which will become part of the wider New Lubbesthorpe development being built on land off Beggars Lane, between Leicester Forest East and Enderby.

Stephanie King, Sales and Marketing Director for Davidsons Homes, said: “We’re delighted to be able to welcome visitors to Hereswode and hope that prospective buyers will be impressed by the range of homes we are building here.

“New Lubbesthorpe will become a landmark new community in Leicestershire, and we’re excited to be playing a role in its creation.

“The homes at Hereswode have been designed to appeal to a wide range of home-hunters. We’ve already received interest in the homes from first-time buyers, families looking to upsize to a new home with more space, and downsizers as well.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming more new faces to Hereswode in the coming weeks and months.”

Davidsons Homes is building a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes at Hereswode. Construction work started at the development in May.

New Lubbesthorpe will feature 4,250 new homes, 75 acres of woodland, 250 acres of open space and parkland, a neighbourhood centre, two primary schools and a secondary school once complete.

A business park which could create over 2,500 jobs is also part of the wider plans for the development, and two new bridges will be built over the M1 and M69 as part of highway improvements which also includes works to the Foxhunter roundabout and Desford Road/A47 crossroads.
