MP visits Davidsons Homes at Ravenstone

MP for North West Leicestershire, Andrew Bridgen, visited Davidsons Homes Ravenstone development as part of a visit in the region for the NHBC. He took the opportunity to look round the showhome at ‘St Michael’s Gate’, which is a new design called The Thorne, featuring open plan living.

The development, named after St Michael’s church in the heart of Ravenstone village is a mix of three, four and five bedroom properties.

Andrew Bridgen said “It has been a pleasure to visit this project in my constituency today. I have mentioned in the House of Commons Chamber that there are several high-profile house builders in North West Leicestershire, as well as two of the country’s leading brick manufacturers. North West Leicestershire offers some outstanding housing developments which adhere to the Building for Life national standard. They are a great contributor in ensuring that North West Leicestershire continues to be a great place to work in, live in and visit”.

Andrew continued “I am pleased to be behind NHBC in their role to support the industry in maintaining and improving the build quality of new homes for homebuyers, whilst providing the benefit of a 10-year Buildmark warranty protection.”

Richard Hartshorn, NHBC’s regional director for the East, said: “We are delighted to have been able to show Mr Bridgen this outstanding development which is bringing much-needed family homes to Leicestershire. As the UK’s leading insurance and warranty provider of new homes, NHBC works closely with housebuilders to support the delivery of high quality homes. We also work with Parliamentarians to develop and promote good housing policy.”

James Wilson, managing director at Davidsons, said “We’re delighted that Andrew could come along and take a look at our Ravenstone development as part of his NHBC visit. Ravenstone is a lovely Leicestershire village with many local amenities such as a Post Office, village shop, garden centre, primary school and pre-school. Our development here provides a good mix of family homes which will add to the community.

James continued “We always aim to create great places that people enjoy living in, and we’re also making significant contributions to a number of local services, such as education, transport, public open space and the local sports pavilion. We’re also delighted to be able to say that Davidsons have just received the highest rating of 5 stars, for the fourth year running, in the NHBC/HBF customer satisfaction survey”.
