Homebuilder sponsors heart machine for Ibstock doctors
Local homebuilder Davidsons, who have a development in Ibstock, have just bought a new ECG machine for Ibstock House Surgery.
Local resident Mr Meryl Patrick saw the machine in an article in a local newspaper. He said “It was described as the Rolls Royce of ECG machines and I thought it would be marvellous if we could have one in Ibstock. I wrote to Davidsons Homes to ask if they could help with the cost, and I was delighted when they wrote back and said they would pay the entire amount.”
The machine will operate anywhere and provides an instant readout on the patientâs condition. Dr Charon Luke at Ibstock House Surgery said “The new machine will enable us to assess patients with heart related issues immediately, and we are very grateful to Mr Patrick and to Davidsons for enabling this to happen. It will benefit many people in Ibstock and the surrounding area”.
