Preview evening for new homes at Scraptoft Hall

Leicestershire homebuilder Davidsons has unveiled the plans of its new homes for the grounds of Scraptoft Hall, at a special preview evening.

The event, held at Scraptoft Golf Club, was well attended by local residents and visitors from further afield, who were keen to get a first look at the properties, which will be being built from May. There are two halves to the Davidsons development, separated by the Hall. A key part of the overall plan has been to retain the lake in the grounds and as many trees as possible.

The first phase, ‘South Lawns’ will have 24 homes. There are a small number of 2 and 3 bedroom homes, but they are predominantly detached 4 & 5 bedroom properties. They are being built on a tree lined avenue looking towards the Hall, with the houses set back from the road. The road is designed so that it aligns visually with the centre of the Hall and stone setts will be used along the edge of the road to give it a natural look.

There will be a second phase of the development at a later date, with 18 homes, which will be set around the lake, and within trees there.

There were a number of members of the sales team on hand and we were able to have detailed discussions with visitors about the plans and the first homes. We are keen to make the development a part of the village and a management company will be appointed to take care of the open spaces across the whole scheme”.
