Help from homebuilder makes it a family affair

Rebecca Haddow visited her brother in his new home at Davidsons development in Long Eaton and he told her how helpful Davidsons had been and suggested that she should talk to them. Rebecca and husband Alistair were trying to find somewhere that suited them both for travelling to work and originally looked at Davidsons Arnold development. However the homes available there were bigger than they wanted, so went to take a look at ‘Lavender Fields’ in Rainworth.

Rebecca said “We went to Rainworth and looked round a viewhome of the home we eventually bought. Davidsons have been fantastic right from our first conversation. They have been so helpful and simply couldn’t do enough for us. They recommended a mortgage adviser who was really positive and reassuring to deal with. He found us a mortgage and we used the Help to Buy scheme which meant we only had to find a 5% deposit. We were surprised how big a home we could buy. Once we had agreed our mortgage we moved in quite quickly. Sue Jones, the sales manager at the development called us every couple of weeks to update us on the stage our home was at”.

Rebecca continued “The finish of our home is excellent and the development is lovely. Our home is really spacious. It has 3 good sized bedrooms – we’ve turned one into a study and one into a dressing room, and downstairs there’s lots of room for having friends round. I love the French doors, €“ it makes the kitchen/dining area light and bright and it’s great to look out on to the garden. As first time buyers Davidsons helped us further by including some additional kitchen appliances. I would recommend Davidsons to anyone. In fact, my Mum and Dad were so impressed with my home and my brother’s that they have now bought a Davidsons home too”.

Stephanie King, Sales Director at Davidsons Homes, said “We work hard to make buying a home an enjoyable experience all the way through the process, as well as to build homes that are designed to offer a great lifestyle. It’s very special when three different family members decide that our homes are for them – it is a real acknowledgement that we are getting things right”.

Currently ‘Lavender Fields’ has a range of 3 and 4 bedroom homes available, with prices from £160,000. Kitchens are fitted with a range of appliances, including oven, hob and integrated microwave – and stylish Roca sanitary ware features in bathrooms and en-suites.

Davidsons are a member of the Government Help to Buy scheme designed to help purchasers struggling to buy – it’s for anyone who needs help to buy a new home worth up to £600,000. Details are available at the development.
